What a way to start the new year. I got the flu bug on the last week of January with my nose blocked and phlegm that makes me cough so much. It got worse on 31st (Thaipusam) when I realised my voice was getting hoarse.
Initially, I thought it was just normal flu, so I bought the Hurix FluAway pills and it got a bit better but my voice was getting worse. I even tried taking some Chinese medicine for flu and even bought a bottle of honey to soothe my throat but nothing seems to work and I'm losing my voice.
I got no choice but to consult a doctor. I knew I made a mistake of going to this particular clinic because the last time I visited this doctor, the medicine didn't work and I have to consult my family doctor. I was taken aback at how expensive the medical bill has gotten over the years. The amount I paid was RM55. The medicine worked and I got better but unfortunately, on last Monday (12th February), I caught the flu bug again. Ugh! Not again?
This time, I quickly consult my family doctor and the bill was RM50. So, you see? I've spent hundred over for medicine right at the beginning of this new year. Betul-betul suay! (A local phrase used to express how unfortunate/unlucky one feels at something that happened)
I pray and hope I'll get better before Chinese New Year.
