It's pretty scary to know how quickly time flies. It feels like it was a month ago I was just waiting for the Chinese New Year to arrive and by now, it's already the 5th day of the Lunar New Year celebration. Some of you have started going back to work yesterday and I'm getting back to work today, after four days of holiday.
So, how was your holiday? As I've mentioned in one of my old posts that my family cannot celebrate the lunar new year this year because my mother passed away recently. Therefore, this year's new year is nothing but simple and quiet for us. Nevertheless, some of my mother's older and younger sisters came over on the 3rd day of the lunar new year to have lunch with us.
All these while, whenever they come over, Mom would cook a feast for them from lunch to dinner but on that day, they cooked and brought food to my house. What a lovely gesture! If Mom could see from above or wherever she may be, I'm sure she would be happy and appreciate her sisters' visit although she's no longer here with us.
On another note, the weather during these few days is killing me! It's so freaking hot that I even sweat inside the car with the aircond turned on high. Can you imagine that? It's ridiculous! I wished to go to somewhere cold and nice next year during Chinese New Year. I can't stand it anymore. Do you feel the heat?
